Capability

From One Changeout to a Full Build

Commercial work is not a bigger version of residential work. The equipment is different, the tolerances are tighter, the permitting is stricter, and the cost of getting it wrong is measured in lost product and closed doors rather than a warm bedroom.

We have been doing it since 2011, on jobs ranging from a single rooftop changeout up into the hundreds of thousands of dollars, with 879 permits pulled and inspected along the way.

  • Walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Rooftop package units
  • Refrigeration line work and coil replacement
  • Duct detectors and mechanical work
  • Sheet metal fabrication and ductwork
  • Permits pulled, inspections scheduled

Catch It Early

Warning Signs on Refrigeration

Refrigeration rarely fails without warning. It usually announces itself for a week or two first — and that is the cheap window to call.

Temperature drifting

The box holds, but a few degrees warmer than it used to, or it takes longer to recover after the door has been open.

Ice building up

Frost on the evaporator, the ceiling or the product usually points to a defrost problem, a door seal, or a refrigerant issue.

The unit runs constantly

A compressor that never cycles off is working against something — a dirty condenser, a leak, or a door that is not sealing.

Water on the floor

A drain or defrost issue, and a slip hazard in a commercial kitchen before it is anything else.

New noises

Rattling, knocking or a change in pitch from the condensing unit means a mechanical part is on its way out.

The electric bill jumped

Refrigeration runs around the clock. Even a small loss of efficiency shows up on the bill before it shows up as a failure.

Questions

Commercial Questions

We are open Monday through Saturday 8:00am to 7:00pm and Sunday 8:00am to 5:00pm, and refrigeration that is losing temperature goes to the front of the queue — product on the line is a different kind of urgent. We are not a 24-hour company, so if it fails overnight we will be reaching you at eight, not at three. Worth knowing before you need us rather than during.

Yes, and on commercial work that is most of it. Buildings change hands, contractors come and go, and equipment outlasts both. We service what is there.

Where the job allows, yes. Some work has to happen while equipment is off, and doing that during a dinner service helps nobody. Tell us your hours when you call and we will plan the work around them as far as the scope permits.

Yes. Commercial mechanical work is permitted work, and we pull and close our own — 879 permits to date. Unpermitted commercial work becomes a problem at inspection, at renewal, or at sale, and it is never cheaper to fix later.

Anything from a single rooftop changeout to full mechanical installations running into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. If your project is larger than what we can do well, we will say so rather than learn on your building.
